Delete Your Account

You can delete your MeetingVault account at any time, from inside the app, on any platform. Deletion is immediate and permanent — there is no recovery window and no support process to restore a deleted account.

How to delete your account

  1. Sign in to MeetingVault on the web, desktop, iOS, or Android.
  2. Open your account menu and go to Profile (on mobile, tap your avatar, then Profile).
  3. Scroll to Danger Zone and choose Delete Account.
  4. Confirm by typing DELETE. If you signed up with an email and password, you will also be asked to re-enter your password. Accounts created with Google or Apple sign-in are confirmed by your active session instead.

Deletion begins as soon as you confirm. You will receive a confirmation email once it has finished.

Cancel a mobile subscription first

If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, that subscription is held by Apple or Google — we cannot cancel it for you, and deleting your account does not cancel it. Cancel it yourself first, in App Store › Apple Account › Subscriptions or Google Play › Payments & subscriptions, or you will continue to be billed. Subscriptions purchased on our website are cancelled automatically as part of deletion.

What is deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes:

  • Your profile and login credentials
  • Every meeting, recording, transcript, and uploaded audio file
  • All generated minutes, summaries, action items, and reports
  • Your projects, stakeholders, tags, and notes
  • Your usage history, preferences, and email preferences
  • Your billing records held by us, and any website subscription is cancelled

Audio files are removed from storage first, then all associated records are deleted together, and finally your login itself is deleted. Nothing is retained in a recoverable form and none of it is used to train AI models.

What is kept, and why

We retain a minimal deletion record — that an account with your email address was deleted, and when. We keep this to demonstrate that your deletion request was honoured and to meet accounting and anti-fraud obligations. It contains no meeting content. Where payments were made, our payment provider retains transaction records for the period required by tax law, independently of us.

This cannot be undone

There is no grace period and no backup we can restore from. Export anything you want to keep before you delete — you can download minutes and transcripts as PDF, DOCX, or JSON from any meeting.
